Walk and Talk Therapy
Counselling in Motion
At Kaleidoscope Wellness Niagara, we believe healing happens not just in conversation, but also in movement and connection with nature. After exploring the growing body of research on the benefits of time outdoors, we’re excited to offer a unique counselling option that combines three key elements:
Movement, Nature, and Therapy
What is Walk and Talk Therapy?
Walk and Talk Therapy sessions take place outdoors, where we walk side by side in conversation. These one-on-one sessions integrate traditional counselling with the grounding and restorative effects of nature.
The pace is slow and mindful, allowing time for reflection, breath, and awareness of the natural world around us. You may notice a deeper sense of calm, creativity and clarity as we engage both body and mind in the process.
What Does the Research Say?
The evidence is clear, spending time in nature supports emotional and physical wellbeing. Studies show that walking outdoors can lower stress levels, improve mood, enhance focus, and increase overall vitality.
Our inspiration came in part from time spent walking the trails of the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, an experience to evoke feelings of peace and presence. Research from RBGV, along with studies from Yale’s Environment 360 and Ontario Parks, highlights the profound mental health benefits of connecting with nature.

Where Do We Walk?
We’re fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful regions in Ontario. Our Walk and Talk sessions take place along the Millennium Trail in Niagara Falls, a well-maintained, four-season path that’s mostly flat and perfect for gentle strolls and mindful conversation.
Who Can Participate?
- Current clients– Simply let Kimberley know you’re interested, and she’ll provide the necessary consent form and schedule your session.
- New clients– A virtual or in-person intake session is required first to ensure Walk and Talk Therapy is the right fit for your needs.
- A Walk and Talk Therapy consent form will be completed prior to your first outdoor session.
Can I Combine Walk and Talk with Other Sessions?
Absolutely. You can mix and match Walk and Talk Therapy with your in-office or virtual sessions. Many clients enjoy alternating between the two, adding a walking session when they are feeling stuck, needing clarity, or wanting a change of perspective.
Movement in nature often helps shift energy and promote insight, and with a therapist present, that experience can lead to meaningful breakthroughs.
When are these sessions offered?
Walk and Talk Therapy sessions are currently offered on Saturdays.
Cost
The fee for Walk and Talk Therapy is the same as other counselling sessions:
$150 per 50 minute session (Services provided by Registered Social Workers are HST exempt)

A Note from Kimberley

I’m committed to the wellbeing of both my clients and myself. After years of spending long days indoors, I realized I didn’t have to be chained to my desk to support others meaningfully. Walk and Talk Therapy brings together two things I value deeply, connection and nature. I’m looking forward to sharing this experience with you.
Join me outdoors and experience the gentle shift that movement and nature can bring.
