Winter Wellness with Kaleidoscope Workshops!
Winter invites a different rhythm, one that values rest, reflection, and meaningful integration over momentum and productivity. At Kaleidoscope Wellness, our winter offerings are designed to support the nervous system, create space for insight, and help you move through the season with steadiness and care.
This winter, we’re offering a small collection of experiences that gently support your well-being, physically, emotionally, and energetically without asking you to push, perform, or overhaul yourself.
First Fridays: Friday Vibes Yoga
New this year, First Fridays are a monthly anchor within Friday Vibes Yoga. On the first Friday of each month, the class shifts into a slower, more spacious offering focused on rest, reflection, and stillness.
Each First Friday explores a seasonal theme and may include practices such as Yoga Nidra, hot stone restorative yoga, meditation, long savasana, and gentle somatic movement. These practices are chosen to support down-regulation, embodiment, and integration.
A brief psycho-educational teaching is woven into each session, offering simple, accessible context about the nervous system and how rest, attention, and safety support regulation and well-being. The intention is not to overwhelm with information, but to help you better understand what’s happening in your body—so the experience extends beyond the mat and into daily life.
First Fridays are less about “doing yoga” and more about creating a monthly pause—a place to land, soften, and reconnect.
Hot Stones and Cool Vibes
Hot Stones and Cool Vibes is a collaborative offering with Melanie DiPaola, owner of Zen House, designed as a deeply restful winter experience.
This experience blends hot stone restorative yoga with a sound bath guided by Melanie, creating a layered, sensory environment that invites the body and mind to settle. The warmth of the stones offers grounding and comfort, while the sound bath supports relaxation, integration, and ease through gentle vibration and sustained tones.
The practice is slow-paced and spacious, with extended time in stillness, allowing participants to receive rather than do. Together, the elements of warmth, sound, and rest work to encourage down-regulation and release of accumulated tension.
Held at Zen House, this collaboration reflects a shared intention between Kaleidoscope Wellness and Zen House: to create thoughtful, supportive spaces where rest is valued as an essential part of well-being.
Your Vision, Your Year
Your Vision, Your Year is a collaborative, seasonal offering designed to support reflection, clarity, and intentional direction as you move into a new year.
This experience brings together guided reflection and facilitation from Kaleidoscope Wellness with numerology insights shared by Laura Canal of Miles of Smiles Alternative Solutions, offering participants an additional lens through which to explore personal themes, cycles, and patterns.
Rather than goal-setting or self-improvement, the focus is on making meaning—looking back on the year that has passed, noticing what has shaped you, and gently orienting toward the year ahead. Laura’s numerology teachings are offered as a reflective tool, providing context and language to support insight without prescribing outcomes.
Through thoughtful exercises, facilitated conversation, and quiet moments of integration, participants are invited to listen inwardly and clarify what feels aligned for the season ahead.
This offering pairs naturally with winter’s slower pace—creating space for discernment before action.
Valentine’s Day Kintsugi Bowl Workshop
This Valentine’s Day Kintsugi Bowl Workship offers a quiet, intentional space to slow down and engage with the practice of repair. Rooted in the Japanese art of Kintsugi, participants will gently break and restore a bowl, allowing the mended places to remain visible and honoured.
The process invites reflection on resilience, imperfection, and connection, how care patience and presence can support both personal and relational heating. This is a calm, guided experience focused on meaning rather than perfection.
Suitable for individuals, friends or couples. No prior artistic experience needed.
An Integrated Approach to Winter Care
Together, these offerings form a cohesive winter wellness experience:
- Rest-focused practices that support the nervous system
- Gentle psycho-education to help integrate body and mind
- Reflective spaces to clarify values, energy, and direction
- A slower, more intentional way of moving through the season
Winter at Kaleidoscope Wellness is not about fixing or optimizing, it’s about listening, tending, and allowing space for what’s already unfolding.
You’re invited to come as you are.

Meditation and the Art of Kintsugi
Sat February 14, 2026 @ Zen House Yoga Studio

Participants will be led through the hands on practice of breaking a bowl and then mending the cracks with gold or silver. Cultivating mindfulness and acceptance as you engage in the process and complete a unique and meaningful work of art.
This workshop will begin with a brief philosophy behind the art of Kintsugi. You’ll then be guided through a gentle, mindful meditation to centre your mind and open your heart, before learning to repair a ceramic bowl with golden seams. Each piece becomes a reflection of patience, presence and the luminious beauty found in imperfection.
It is designed to be a therapeutic and creative experience. It will encourage you to engage in the meditative process, slow down and be present in the moment. Focus on the here and now and accept imperfections as part of life’s journey. Leave with a one of a kind creation that tells your story.
